Meet the Principal
My name is Jeremy Mehlhoff and I am in my first full year as principal at Bakken Elementary. Prior to this, I was the principal at Wilkinson Elementary for 9 years.
I grew up in Garrison, ND and graduated from Garrison High School in 1995. I attended Dickinson State University and graduated in 2000 with an Elementary Education degree. My first job was in Bowman, ND where I taught 4th grade for 4 years. My wife, Brandi, and our daughters moved to Williston in the fall of 2005. I decided to go back to school to get my master's degree in administration, so I attended the University of Mary and received my master's degree in 2009.
One of the things I enjoy most about being a principal is having the opportunity to work and be around all of the students in the building, not just the students in my classroom. The kids can bring so much energy every day, it makes coming to work fun! My wife and I have 3 kids, Madison, Kiara, and Jeron. In our free time we enjoy camping and spending time at the lake. During the school year, I also enjoy officiating HS sports. I have reffed for 22 years, and have had the opportunity to work several state tournament and championship games in my time as an official. I really enjoy sports and being a part of the game.
